The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner while we were there, so we had to plan activities around that. It wasn't a big issue for us, but if you're travelling with elderly people or expecting to stay indoors for a day, check whether dinner will be available before booking. Our room was clean, with two beds plus one, clean sheets and towels for three, toiletries except a toothbrush, and plenty of wardrobe space for clothes and shoes. There's also a long shared balcony, which I imagine would be lovely in spring or summer. The lobby feels very welcoming and homely, and the place has a romantic, rustic feel. It was snowy and foggy during our stay, but even then you could tell the mountain forest would be beautiful in summer. A lovely, quiet getaway, and I'd love to try it in summer. I took off a star for the location because nearby restaurants aren't very accessible for elderly or wheelchair-bound visitors. You have to walk out to the main street along a small footpath and slightly uphill, so I'd recommend driving for those groups.

The family room was spacious, and the lounge was cosy. A lovely, quiet hotel with great hosts, a nice sauna and a great breakfast.

The place is very clean, spacious and modern, with tasteful decor. It's newly built and already very nice, though construction was still going on and made it a bit noisy. A few things still need sorting out, including missing hand towels and an emergency evacuation plan. We booked a room with a bath but got a shower and infrared sauna instead. Different, but nice. There was nobody at reception when we arrived, and no sign saying who to call. We eventually found the owner at a house on the property. Reception was empty again at checkout. I'd have given it five stars if not for the ongoing building work and the lack of anyone at reception. Still, it has the makings of a lovely hotel, and we'd gladly return once it's finished.

The room was spacious and the bed excellent. There's a beautiful lookout, the staff are friendly, and breakfast was good.
