The location is fantastic, and there's parking for two cars. We booked the chalet for the first time with four adults and two children, and found everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly friendly and easygoing. We'd love to return.

The only real plus was how close it is to the town center. The house layout was very impractical, with bathrooms in the basement and one attic bedroom without a door. The owners' children were on holiday and took advantage of the lack of privacy to party, showing no consideration for the paying chalet guests even after two polite requests. The house is so poorly soundproofed that it felt like we were right in the middle of the noise. The price and what you get are completely out of balance. I absolutely can't recommend this property, and I'd never book it again.

Right in the heart of Oberstdorf, there's a charming little gem: a beautifully renovated holiday apartment in what used to be a pub.

We came across this place by chance and had a wonderful evening. It wasn't too crowded, and the setting was artistically beautiful. The food was delicious, the wine list varied, and we got good advice.
