Hotel Wittelsbacher Hof

The service was the one weak spot: the staff seemed a little inexperienced, and on the terrace we often had to look around for a waiter when we wanted a drink. Even so, we had a really nice stay at Hotel Wittelsbacher Hof in Oberstdorf and would happily return to this family-friendly hotel. Our family room worked perfectly for us, with separate rooms for the parents and kids, so everyone had plenty of space and privacy. Everything was clean, and the balcony had a stunning view. The indoor and outdoor pools were clean, spacious, and never too crowded, which made them great for spending time with the kids.

All the employees were incredibly lovely, and the Friday Happy Hour with live music by a cozy fire was such a fun extra. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back next time we're in Oberstdorf. The rooms were spacious, nice and quiet, and the bathroom seemed to have been recently redone. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet.

We come to Oberstdorf almost every year for the international skating competition, and this has been our best hotel so far for the price. It's also an easy walk to the ice rink. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff exceptionally polite. The breakfast was plentiful, and the restaurant was excellent for dinner too. Very nice hotel, with exceptionally kind staff. One suggestion: it would be good to have a kettle and tea in the rooms, and to stock the minibar.

After our hike, the wellness facilities were a real treat: a pool, three saunas, an Infrarot sauna, and a fitness room. The reception staff were super friendly and nice, too. The room was modern and very spacious, with a balcony and a fantastic mountain view. Five stars all around!
