The mountains start right behind Landhaus Menz, which made it a great place to set off hiking. The moorland swimming pool was another highlight, just a five-minute walk away. It’s peaceful here, yet Oberstdorf is only a short walk from the house. We felt at ease throughout our vacation and would gladly come back. The house is cozy, authentic, and has a warm, inviting feel without seeming old-fashioned. Petra’s personal, friendly care really stood out and made us feel welcome right away.

We could set off on hikes right behind the country house, with trails leading in every direction. The village center was also close, around a ten-minute walk, while the setting itself was peaceful and away from everyday bustle. We spent a wonderful week in the beautiful apartment and would return in a heartbeat. Thanks for such a warm welcome, we had a fantastic time. Waking up to the mountains outside each morning was a lovely way to start the day.

We feel at home here and return every year. The room is lovely and has everything we need, and the owners are incredibly friendly. It’s beautifully located for relaxing, with great mountain views from the cozy terrace.

We’ll be back! The hosts were welcoming and very accommodating, and the rooms were lovely with all the equipment we needed. There’s a nice view from the terrace. It’s only a few minutes from the town center, and parking was free too.

We had a lovely two weeks, and the apartment was another great choice where everything felt right. It sits above the Loretto Chapel in Oberstdorf, with a wonderful mountain view and a quiet setting. Oberstdorf is still easy to reach, about a 15-20 minute walk along a pleasant hiking trail. There are good restaurants and shops nearby, so you can enjoy nature and still find what you need. You can start different hikes right from the apartment, or take a bus from Oberstdorf to the Kleinwalsertal valley. A visit to the Ifenhütte mountain hut is well worth considering. You can start from the Auenhütte parking lot, take the bus from Oberstdorf, ride the gondola, or walk along the hiking trail. Thanks again, and warm greetings to Petra. We got home safely!
