Parkhotel Am Taunus

Everything was clean and neatly arranged. The room was cozy, nicely furnished, and well heated for winter. The staff were welcoming and courteous, and the service was great. I recommend this hotel. Follow me for more reviews on hidden gems around the world.

The garden was a highlight, with trees, fountains, roses, and gardenias. The hotel is near a beautiful forest, U-Bahn station, and bus stops, with good restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The town itself felt very clean and safe. We stayed for 10 days with our 3 kids and enjoyed every moment. The apartments were really good, the kids were happy, the rooms were cleaned well, and the staff were friendly. The breakfasts were amazing, and we never got bored of them. Definitely worth 4+! If I come back, I'll stay here again. Many thanks for the beautiful memories!

Location was convenient for us, which is the only reason I give it 4 starts average. We stayed in the apartment building because of its proximity to FIS, where my son was spending 3 days visiting his former classmates and teachers. The building is in a beautiful, remote spot with accessible public transportation, though having a car is convenient. There are a couple of restaurants and an Edeka supermarket nearby. The hotel badly needs a total refurbish. The rooms are dull and dark, the carpets dirty, and the biggest problem is the lack of climate control. We checked out yesterday, a day earlier than planned, because the room was so hot we couldn't sleep. I have a hard time leaving bad reviews because they might affect someone's job, but this stay left a lot to be desired. The room felt damp, and the dated furniture had dark spots all over. I can't say much about the personnel, who were more or less the same inexpressive people throughout, but I have no problem with that. I didn't expect to pay for a room that looked like an old motel room from a horror movie. A dead bird was left on the balcony on our floor, not our room, and was never removed. It seemed the common areas weren't cleaned as often as they should be. Breakfast at 18€ per person seemed high, but it was optional, so I went to the supermarket and bought what we needed to cook in the kitchenette. Wifi was poor, as others have said. If you're planning to work during your stay, check on this with reception or call before booking. The hotel served its purpose this time, but I won't stay again. Try the Dorint a few miles down the road, you'll thank me later.

The room was on the small side, but everything was comfortable, and the receptionists were very helpful. The staff here are the kindest! The man in charge of breakfast this week was especially funny, kind, and sweet. He's my favourite hotel staff member ever.
