We came away especially impressed by the food. The restaurant had lots to choose from, and the desserts were delicious; it was the best German food I tried on my trip, much better than the other places I ate. The hotel sits right beside the river, with a lovely riverside route for running or cycling. It’s quiet and peaceful, too. I’m from Thailand and highly recommend it.

The highlight was the receptionist, a middle-aged woman who was so kind and attentive. She remembered that we liked hot water and offered to top it up on our second day. Her scrambled eggs and bacon were delicious as well. We had a lovely two-night stay in this charming 500-year-old hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful river view to wake up to. There’s no elevator and we were on the fourth floor, but the room was surprisingly quiet despite the nearby tracks, perhaps because of where it was. They also thoughtfully provided earplugs.

Everything we ordered tasted great, with top-quality ingredients and spot-on flavors. The chef deserves a big compliment. Definitely a dining spot worth visiting.

We left after three days exhausted from lack of sleep. The room was right by the railway, just a few meters away, and the earplugs they handed out in advance didn’t come close to blocking the noise. It was also on the top floor and unbearably hot, even though it was only 20 degrees and raining outside.

The food was a real draw for me, especially the delicious Thai dishes. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean and well kept. Hotel Weiler in Oberwesel feels peaceful and relaxing, and the charm of the small town adds to the visit. I’d highly recommend it for a quiet break.
