Chris really made the stay for us. He was great and helped with whatever we needed. The lodge is beautifully kept, with lovely sunsets, and sits at the top of the hill. Breakfast was really nice, especially the fantastic bread from the family bakery. They’re also helpful with ski gear, and the family ski rental is just around the corner. Try to arrive by early afternoon, since finding your way up later can be tricky. With young kids, climbing back up the hill carrying ski gear is a bit of a hike, though confident skiers can ski straight back to the lodge.

You can ski or snowboard straight down from the hotel, which is super cool. Our newly renovated room was clean, spacious, and fully equipped, with beautiful sunrise and mountain views. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Great if you want a relaxing skiing or snowboarding holiday.

The view is beautiful, and you can get straight onto the slope from here. Christopher is friendly and pleasant, and helped guide us and sort out what we needed quickly. It costs a little more than nearby hotels, but I think it’s worth it.

There’s direct access to the slopes, a ski storage room, and a playroom for kids in the attic. We also liked that you can book the common rooms with big tables for a group or a family game night. Oberwiesenthal was a new skiing discovery for us, and Haus am Berg was perfectly located, with rooms looking across the whole valley toward the Czech Republic. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the service was impeccable. We had a great time!

The suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we loved the pension’s decor. Right beside the Skihang, the location was great. Breakfast was excellent, with scrambled eggs, coffee, several kinds of bread, cheese, ham, muesli, yogurt, and juices. The staff were very friendly, and having a private sauna made the stay even better. We’ll definitely be back.
