Check-in was a really disappointing start. Ms. Shelen left me waiting for my room without a clear explanation or any update, and the way she handled it felt unprofessional. As a paying guest, I expected basic courtesy and some efficiency. That’s a poor welcome from a hotel.

There isn’t much to see nearby, and the only place to eat within walking distance was an Asian restaurant. The food there was good, and a step above the cheap Asian fast food you find all over Germany. I stayed here because I had an early flight from Frankfurt the next day, and the air conditioning meant I could keep the windows shut and sleep cool. That’s a real plus, since so few European hotels have A/C. I got a great night’s rest. If you’re parking underground, be aware the ramp is pretty tight. Also, fill up before parking if you’re heading to the airport early. I didn’t spot any gas stations on the way there.

A really comfortable, quiet place to stay. Highly recommended if you’re looking for peace and quiet.

The location worked well, and we found free parking every day. But we didn’t feel comfortable here, and for what it costs, it wasn’t worth it. Breakfast had been open for just 30 minutes when most of the food and supplies were already gone: no cups, cutlery, milk, or sausage, and only one slice of cheese. It felt like nobody was looking after the buffet. On the second day, our towels were taken and only one was left. There weren’t any replacements. Our first room was very dirty, with bottles left on the table and several stains we couldn’t identify. There were exposed cables sticking out of the wall behind the bed, and a door into another room. The staff dealt with the room issue quickly and politely, and the next room was okay. Still, there was mold in the shower, and the bathroom didn’t look like it had ever been cleaned properly.
