The breakfast had a nice variety, and the hotel itself was clean. It's also handy for shopping, with places like schlosshöfe nearby. One of the better hotels in Oldenburg.

Breakfast is a bit limited, but there should be something on the buffet for everyone. My room looked onto the courtyard and was quiet, though it had no air conditioning. The rooms are somewhat dated, but do the job. Staff were friendly. On Sundays breakfast doesn't start until 8:00 a.m., too late for me when I have to work that day.

The room was clean, and breakfast was just okay. The roof ventilation kept bothering us when we had the window open. There wasn't a reception desk available, despite what the website said. We came with our cycling group for two nights after planning three, but cut the trip short by a day because of the bad weather. They kindly charged us only half price for that night, which was fine. That's why I can't give it a perfect rating.

The noise is the main problem. Street-facing rooms are really loud even with the windows shut, since the road stays busy at night, and the walls are thin enough that you can hear the neighbors shower. Otherwise the rooms are practical, breakfast is good and generous, and the staff are friendly and flexible. Fine for a short stay in Oldenburg if the noise doesn't get to you.
