The orange Ampelhaus and its quiet garden had a lovely feel. I especially enjoyed the friendly people and refreshments outside, along with the summer exhibitions on art, design, recycling, and transformation. Sadly, the house is gone now :-(

We held our private summer party at the property, and the team stayed available to us throughout the event. The whole place was spotless, especially the toilets, and the outdoor area felt distinctive and thoughtfully done. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. The property and holiday apartment are worth the price, and it’s a real insider tip in Oranienbaum for individual events. Thank you to the Ampelhaus team and all those committed employees. Please keep that unique bar standing.

For those of us in Oranienbaum, this is a much-loved place to meet, unwind, celebrate, and enjoy culture. The "Ampelhaus" team brings it all together with so much energy and care, in a cozy yet sophisticated setting. Many thanks to Jana, her friends, and her family!

The Ampelhaus has changed hands and no longer has any connection to the Rotterdam art initiative. The initiative was a collaboration with the local government and the Dutch Embassy in Berlin. Update, February 2018: it has since ceased to exist.

A lovely restored place, suitable for celebrations and worth visiting too.
