We came as a group of 10, and Da Gianni welcomed us without any fuss. That kind of welcome for a larger party can be hard to find. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the place was clean and pleasant. I even stayed overnight, and everything was perfect. I had a great time and will gladly return.

The staff were friendly and happy to help with the mostly Italian menu. Da Gianni has an inviting, cozy feel, and the wine selection is impressive. The food was full of flavor, from the pasta to the pizzas, with the chef’s passion coming through in the dishes. It’s a warm place for attentive service and a memorable meal, whether you’re there with family or for a romantic dinner.

The staff were capable and friendly, and the food and atmosphere were good. The Caprese Salad had tasty Mozzarella, though the tomatoes didn’t have much flavor and it was missing fresh basil. The appetizer platter could use some work as well. The view across to the dilapidated building wasn’t great. Fixing up the facade and adding a few plants could help. With some improvements, I could see this being a five-star restaurant.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just had a meal in the restaurant. The products were very fresh, the service was as good as it gets, and I was pleased with the experience. I’m old school, so I would’ve expected more. It was missing an Italian touch, perhaps because it’s adapted more to German customers.
