There are shops and places to eat nearby, including a supermarket, bakery, a few restaurants, an ATM, and a bus stop with easy access to the airport or Esslingen city centre. The hotel is about 15 minutes from Stuttgart airport, and the rooms are spacious and nice. Staff were very friendly, and there was enough parking on the premises, including inside. The website didn't seem to work well. For a couple of days we didn't get the room we'd booked through the hotel's own site, which was strange.

I've only eaten at the restaurant twice, not stayed at the hotel. The kaesespaetzle were somewhere in the middle, about a 4/5 for me, neither the best I've had nor the worst. The turkey steak was more mixed: the meat was juicy, and the seasoning was neither good nor bad, but the potato croquettes were soaked in old frying oil. There are plenty of other places with much better German food. Overall, the meals were just okay.

We stay here when we're in Stuttgart for an exhibition. It's a very nice little hotel with everything we need, plus a nice restaurant.

The dinners are superb, and there are choices if you don't eat pork, including duck, turkey, and seafood. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. There aren't many other restaurants or sights within walking distance, but there's a small creek and walking path nearby. I felt safe taking my dog for a daytime walk there. The Mercedes-Benz Museum is close, and there's also an indoor shopping center with a grocery store that sells plenty of other things.
