Villa Mar Baabe

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Mar in mid-December with our 10-month-old daughter. It's a lovely holiday home near the beach, and we'd be glad to return. There was a fully equipped kitchen with everything we could need, plus a sauna, whirlpool bathtub, children's play area, cot, and highchair. We also appreciated the comfortable sofas, little wood stove, and parking right at the house.

The surrounding area is great for children, who can play freely there. The holiday home is ideally placed just behind a beautiful Baltic Sea beach with beach chairs. The only trouble was check-in, since the cleaning staff were at full capacity and the time couldn't be relied on.

We felt very comfortable in this lovely holiday home, and otherwise have no complaints. Baabe is always worth visiting. The location is lovely, just a few meters from the beach and promenade, and the furnishings are cozy. The downstairs bathroom is spacious, while the upstairs one is quite small. The kitchen is well equipped. Although the house sleeps six, there is only one parking space at the house. Other cars have to go outside the property to an unpaved lot. The 24-hour charge is €15.00, which feels like a rip-off for an outdoor, unpaved area. We suspect holidaymakers are being overcharged without any special service. We assume the owners don't set the parking fees, but this should be mentioned.

The beach is only a stone's throw from this charming little cottage, and from upstairs you get a lovely view of the Baltic Sea. Baabe's restaurants and other amenities are easy to reach on foot, too. Inside, it's lovingly furnished and well equipped with kitchen, dining, and cooking utensils. The ground-floor bathroom feels luxurious, and there's a washing machine. Dogs are allowed and Wi-Fi is free. Highly recommended.
