The WiFi never worked, and after we asked the staff to fix it, they said they would and then stopped replying to our messages. I've never had worse service. The shower soap was empty too. The room layout wasn't practical, especially the transparent toilet door, which faces the bed and offers no privacy. You also can't walk from the hotel to the town center.

We had dinner as well as staying here. The käseplate was quite good, and the steak was tasty, although my friend said it wasn't really medium. Our room was spacious, with a balcony and a great view. There's plenty of parking, dogs are allowed, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was perfect, and it's well placed for hiking or getting to other cities by car or train.

We got there quite late for lunch on the last Friday in January, but they still welcomed us. Service was a bit chaotic. The restaurant has recently been modernised, and you can tell they may be aiming for something different from traditional German restaurants. The food quality was good for the prices. Still, Mediterranean spices on the schnitzel auf wiener art were a shame. Good meat cooked the right way doesn't need those modern additions. I might come back and give it another try.

I visited in August, and there was no complimentary fan. The train goes past the room, so it gets a little noisy.
