The price is the main reason to stay here. My room was clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable, but the bathroom leaked and the pillows had clearly lost their stuffing years ago. The stairwell lights switched off while I was walking up, and the Wi-Fi worked just long enough to make me think it was loading before timing out. Check-out is unusually early. Breakfast is free, but you need to get all your things out of the room before going down, or they’ll make it clear you’re inconveniencing them. For more than one night, I’d pay extra for somewhere better.

The food was the standout for me: proper Bavarian dishes, not the reheated stuff other restaurants so shamelessly serve tourists, usually with a frown. It was amazing.

The food was really good, and the atmosphere was great. If your German is weak and you only speak English, communicating can be a little tricky, so bring a local friend along.

We’ve stayed at this hotel twice now. The breakfast was very good, and our room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I can absolutely recommend this place.
