We spent a week at Riku Hotel Pfullendorf, and it was a very disappointing stay. Pfullendorf is a small city with few places to stay, but this hotel fell short of even basic service expectations. The beds were two small ones pushed together instead of a proper king bed. There was no phone in the room, and no lotion, shower cap, coffee or tea maker, or small fridge. The lack of a fridge was a serious problem because my husband has diabetes and couldn’t store his medication properly. The front desk offered to keep it, but they aren’t staffed around the clock, so that didn’t feel reliable. The front desk staff were unwelcoming from the start, especially one clerk who showed no courtesy or smile. We were also charged nearly €8 for two cappuccinos ordered on our first day, without being told about the cost beforehand. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.

It’s easy to walk into town from this great location and see the sights. The rooms were very clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast was great. There’s an excellent Brauhaus restaurant next door, owned by the same people as the hotel.

The staff were extraordinary, and changing the arrival date went smoothly without any problems. The rooms were clean and quiet, with a good internet connection. I’d recommend it for business travel.

The room felt modern and cosy, and the hotel was comfortable. We stayed one night on our German road trip, which worked out perfectly. I wasn't keen on having one duvet for a double bed, though it seems to be common in Germany.
