The flat was roomy and comfortable, with a big bed, a sofa, a comfy chair and a dining space. We also liked the balcony view, the large shared area downstairs, and the honesty box for beer, water and wine. The location is hard to beat if you want to be near the centre with parking, though it’s in the pedestrian zone. It was easy to find, and the key box instructions worked well when we arrived. Getting payment sorted before the trip was a nuisance. The host was slow to reply, and the messages felt like generic emails rather than personal communication. There was no Park Ausweis in the flat; when I contacted the host, I got no answer, so we left a note in the car saying we’d paid for parking. The balcony table was dirty and had a used ashtray on it, which was really unpleasant.

The free parking was a great bonus, and the city centre is just a one-minute walk away, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. There’s also a sauna in the basement for €1 an hour, plus a playroom for children. The place was very clean and had all the essentials, including kitchen utensils, a fridge, toaster, coffee machines and a dishwasher. It had a nice, homely feel.

We stayed in this lovely apartment from December 4th to 7th and were warmly welcomed. The landlord's employee was very helpful, and there was even a small surprise for St. Nicholas Day. Since the apartment was inside the area closed to traffic, we had to leave by 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. We found a parking spot, then went into town for breakfast. We highly recommend these apartments and are grateful for our stay.

Right in the old town, this apartment was clean, nicely cared for and very pleasant to stay in. Quedlinburg is a charming little town, and we’ll definitely recommend the Schlossblick holiday residence to our friends.
