Quedlinburg is such a lovely, idyllic place, well worth visiting. We stayed in a beautiful holiday home that was clean and good value when traveling as a larger group or family, with three double beds. There was a covered balcony at the back and a small garden terrace across from the house.

The owner was friendly and quick to communicate, and the house had everything we needed. We never got to meet her in person, though. Our pet was welcome and settled in well, but keep in mind that the stairs are steep. The house itself is full of character, with a bedroom and double bed in the basement, another on the ground floor, the living area on the first floor, and a third bedroom with a double bed in the attic. It's a lovely half-timbered home right in the center, directly across from the castle. On a nice day, you can sit on the terrace opposite the house with a coffee or a beer in the evening, almost as if you were in the castle's private garden. The street is narrow and geared toward tourists, so you can't stop or park right outside. Two parking spaces were available about 300 meters away. Getting in and out could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility.

The house was spotless and well cared for, with a cozy feel, careful decor, and high-quality materials. It was comfortably furnished even for all six of us. The reserved parking spot is about 150 meters away, and the owner's directions to it were excellent. We had a wonderful long family weekend at the Schlossgarten holiday home in Quedlinburg. When we had to postpone our already booked trip by a year and a half because of the pandemic, the owner was flexible, communicative, and friendly throughout the planning. We only met her virtually due to pandemic restrictions, but her support before, during, and after the stay was exceptional. We'd happily return when we get the chance.

The market square is only a stone's throw away, and the Feininger Gallery is practically next door. This lovingly renovated and furnished home sits right in the heart of Quedlinburg's historic old town and has room for up to six people to unwind after exploring the area. We'd be glad to come back.

The market square is just a short walk away if you need to pick up bread rolls in the morning, and the parking lot is only a few minutes from the house. We spent 14 days in Quedlinburg and felt completely at home. The place was super clean, well maintained, and well equipped.
