A bus stop is close by, along with two restaurants serving good food. A little farther into the village, on foot or by car, you'll find other restaurants worth trying. The house is peaceful and well placed for hikes and outings, and our rooms were spotless, nicely furnished, and had a balcony overlooking the Watzmann. Mr. Keilhofer was so kind and accommodating. He made a lovely breakfast for us and the other guests each morning, with lots of little extras, and always had great activity tips. He knows the area inside out. We had a perfect vacation and would love to come back. Highly recommended!

We had a relaxing stay and felt very comfortable. The apartment was clean, comfortably furnished, in a great location, and very quiet while we were there. The landlord was friendly and always ready to help.

The landlord was incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can head out hiking right from the doorstep. We also found plenty of nearby restaurants with good prices and excellent food. After two weeks in this beautifully furnished, very clean apartment, with its huge balcony and fantastic view, it felt like the perfect holiday for us.

The host was lovely and had great tips for hikes and day trips. Breakfast was delicious, with rolls, sausage, cheese, jam, chocolate spread, coffee or tea, plus a different little treat each day. I imagine you can ask for something else. There's a shared fridge for snacks, and drinks, alcoholic or not, are available at really fair prices. The host always seemed to have the right leaflet ready from the big supply of up-to-date local information on walks and other things to see. The place is clean, well kept, and Bavarian in style while still feeling modern. Rooms were cleaned every day. It's near Wimbachklamm Gorge and a good inn, and around a 25-minute walk from the center of Ramsau. A couple of things to know, though neither bothered us. If you're over 1.90m, the wooden rail at the foot of the bed sits higher than the mattress, so you may need to lie at a slight angle. The Wi-Fi could be patchy, sometimes fine and reasonably quick, other times very slow or unavailable. We only used it to check information and send pictures, and mobile data should do in a pinch. Business travelers or people set on watching Netflix may want to download films and shows beforehand or make sure they have enough data. The LTE network there is very good.
