Best Western Hotel Airport Düsseldorf - Ratingen

I only needed a room for a few hours before an early flight from Dusseldorf airport, so the nearby location worked well. Check-in was easy, and the room was comfortable and clean, though small. Parking is limited, and getting in and out of the underground garage is quite tight.

I thought the coffee and croissants set out at reception were a complimentary morning gesture. The coffee machine in my room was broken, and I had an early flight, so I made myself a cup after the receptionist offered me coffee without mentioning a charge. Once I was outside, he told me it cost 5€ for instant coffee from a thermos. That lack of transparency was unacceptable.

There’s a supermarket right beside the hotel, and the centre is around a 10-15 minute walk away. A tram and bus stop are close by too. My room was small, as other reviews say, but it was clean and modern, with good internet, room service, and a coffee machine stocked with capsules and tea bags. The staff could have been friendlier, but I still think it’s a very good hotel and would probably stay here again on my next visit to Ratingen.

It’s in a handy spot, with lots of buses and trams across the road. The rooms were quiet and housekeeping was very attentive. The interior is modern and clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was a great buffet, although 18€ is pricey.
