The place was spotless and peaceful, and the staff were great at suggesting things to do. Parking was straightforward, discounted, and only a five-minute walk from the entrance. I also liked having a gym upstairs. It only opens in the afternoon, though, so I wish I could have used it in the morning.

The desk staff were friendly and helpful, and finding chocolates outside our door on Easter morning was a lovely surprise. The hotel is close to the old town for shopping and walks. Still, I wouldn’t book it again. The bells rang from 6:30 am until 11 pm, though they weren’t extremely loud. For cooler air we had to open the windows, which meant hearing people talking below. The Wi-Fi never worked during our five-night stay, even after we reported it.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and you could even have a glass of fizz if you wanted. It’s a relaxed, family-run place with roomy rooms right in the picturesque old town. The staff were friendly, and I’d happily come back.

The mattress was too soft for my sciatica, which was the one real downside for me. I also brought my own face towels, though I never checked whether they could provide them on request. Otherwise, the room was perfectly clean, with neat wooden blocks for bedside tables, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I stayed for a month for work, and the location was superb, right at the north edge of downtown Ravensburg. It’s a five-minute walk north to the parking garage, or you can head straight into the many shops and cafes. The breakfast buffet had pretty much everything, unless you’re set on American biscuits and gravy.
