We had a really nice family dinner at the Schweizer Hof. There was plenty of parking out front, and at the end we were even given a small gift of chocolates. The owner welcomed us warmly and handled our food and drink requests with care, including special requests, which were taken care of politely and without any fuss. Everyone was happy with the hot, delicious food, and the portions were just right. A wonderful evening.

We ate here as three people in February 26, but the prices didn't feel justified by what we got. The Schweizer Hof schnitzel was topped with cheese that wasn't fresh Camembert, but a frozen processed cheese product. The Steak Strindberg was a minute steak without breading, covered with a mixture for browning. At over twenty euros, it just wasn't worth it. That's not what cooking with love looks like. I can't recommend it.

A trip back to my hometown isn't complete for my husband and me without a visit to the Schweizerhof. This time the Steak Strindberg was delicious, and the trio of dumplings was superb. The service was friendly and attentive, so I highly recommend the place.

The atmosphere here is fantastic, as always. If you like traditional, rustic inns, you'll enjoy this restaurant. I would've liked a little more seasoning in the breading, though it's easy enough to add some yourself. Apart from that, everything was excellent.
