ibis Regensburg Zentrum

Breakfast was the low point. Staff spent a lot of time chatting to each other instead of checking the buffet or helping guests, and it felt more like a McDonald’s than a hotel restaurant. The Ibis is basic, with nothing particularly special about it, though the location is great and an easy walk from the city center. It’s okay if all you need is somewhere to sleep for 1-2 nights. I booked it to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, but wouldn’t rate it higher.

The room was clean and beautiful, with artistic paintings, but it felt bare, really just a bed to sleep in. There was no refrigerator, iron, safe, microwave, or other common basic amenities. The staff were nice and friendly, and the location was very good.

Good location and good-looking rooms. There’s no kettle or coffee in the rooms, and you can easily hear doors thudding and noise from other rooms.

For the price, the clean, practical rooms were really good. The whole team at the desk was lovely and international, so kind and helpful, speaking lots of languages and genuinely customer friendly. Thanks to everyone!
