There’s no air conditioning, which was the one downside for us. Otherwise, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the location right by the Danube, opposite the famous Stone bridge, gives the hotel a lovely view and atmosphere. The old town is nearby, and there’s underground parking. We also used Regensburg as a base for trips to nearby towns and villages with authentic architecture and a medieval feel. Regensburg itself has that same character too.

Johan was wonderful to talk with at the bar. He was professional, knew his stuff, and made our visit there a real pleasure. The hotel also has a nice bar and restaurant, its own parking garage, and a modern feel. The location was exceptional.

The river and bridge looked beautiful from my room, and the hotel is in a great spot with friendly, attentive staff. The snag was the WiFi: it didn’t work in my room, which made working difficult. It was steady enough in the hall, so that’s where I took my Zoom calls. That’s the work-and-vacation mix, I guess. :)

We loved the breakfast, and having a living room in our junior suite made the stay feel special. The view of the stone bridge from the room was amazing, probably the most beautiful hotel view we’ve ever had. The location feels magical: we could walk across the bridge, and driving to places was easy. Staying in the old town wouldn’t have worked as well for that. I’ll always stay here when I’m back for work.

The beds weren’t what I expected: no top sheet, just a twin comforter inside a cover. That seems to be typical in Europe, but it still caught me off guard.
