Right by the Danube River, this is a really distinctive hotel. It was carefully converted from a church over 200 years old, while keeping the original decorations, wood, flooring and hardware.

The rooms blend old style with modern comfort, and the location is perfect. Breakfast was excellent. One inconvenience is that check-in and checkout happen at the nearby hotel Goliat. There’s no lift, so it may not suit people with limited mobility.

The building is right on the banks of the Danube, with a lovely view, and it’s only about a hundred metters from the famous Historische Wurstküche. Don’t miss it. The rooms aren’t very big, but for an old building they’re quite good. The staff were very friendly, congrats!

It was a peaceful place to hide away, and the old building has been fitted out to a really high standard. The centre and Stone Bridge are close by. I’d give it five stars if there were facilities beyond the rooms.
