The service left us feeling ignored. Our drinks weren't topped up, used plates stayed on the table, and nobody checked whether things were alright. We didn't feel welcome or looked after at all. We'd also been told there would be a sparkling wine reception, but it never happened. Even after we asked, nobody offered us any sparkling wine. The food was just as disappointing. Most of what was served seemed to come from frozen, unappetizing ingredients. The dumplings were rubbery, and the frozen vegetables came with a thick dollop of hollandaise and no imagination. Nothing seemed freshly made. Dessert was a heavy, greasy cream with dry biscuits that were hard to eat and swallow. For the price, this was unacceptable. The Christmas buffet disappointed us on both food quality and service, and left a very poor impression.
