There isn't an English-speaking employee, so you'd need to travel with someone who speaks German or learn German yourself to stay here. We called to confirm a booking made through a booking platform, and the lady on the phone was extremely disrespectful. The hotel had confirmed fewer guests than we'd entered. When we politely asked about it and offered to pay more on arrival for their convenience, she said, "don't tell me how to do my job!" and hung up. Their replies to reviews on other sites are at the same low level, though don't take my word for it, go check for yourself. I don't know where the arrogance comes from. I guess some people are just rude.

I had a very pleasant three-night stay and would gladly come back. The house was quiet despite being centrally located, and it was very clean throughout. I had one of the small rooms, with its own bathroom and toilet, and everything was absolutely fine. After 6 pm, entry was easy with a code. The cosy breakfast room also serves as a lounge at other times, and there's a terrace too. Saskia, the hostess, looks after guests and makes an excellent breakfast, including fresh fruit for the yogurt.

The breakfast buffet is very reasonably priced and leaves nothing to be desired. Guests can use the coffee machine at any time. The hostess is friendly and accommodating, and seems to anticipate what people need. The standard double rooms are a decent size and were clean, though the furnishings are a bit dated. The beds are only 1.90m wide, and some mattresses are a little worn, so there's room for improvement.
