We came to the bar hoping to catch a football match, and the staff kindly made it possible. They had Sky Sports, so we could watch the Premier League, and the bar had a good setup near the TV. Everyone was welcoming and kind, and the drinks and snacks were excellent. There was a personal, thoughtful feel throughout the bar and restaurant. Getting to say hello to Beth, the resident dog, was definitely the highlight. She's very well trained and friendly. Thanks to everyone at Almrausch for such warm hospitality. You made us feel so welcome!

The food was okay, but nothing about it felt especially creative, and it didn't bring the kind of delight the name promises. The décor and staff had a distinctive style. We only tried the restaurant, which seemed to be the only spot in town where we could get a table without booking. Maybe that was good planning. The comments about canned vegetables may well have been right.

We chose this for dinner on our first evening in Reit im Winkl and won't be going back. The vegetables tasted like they came from a can, the tablecloths were dirty, and our main courses arrived at different times. Payment was cash only, with no card option. The food was bad.
