Wastl Husl

We stayed here in 2018 and really enjoyed it. The food and location were both great, and the owner was terrific, so friendly and full of good suggestions about places to visit and things to see. We’d go back.

I only booked two nights, but had such a lovely time in the little cozy room. It felt like home. Breakfast was all there, eggs, sausage, cheese, and fruit, all top quality. The location and recommendations were great too. I’d love to return with my little man, Nuka 🥰

The breakfast was a real treat, with bakery rolls, quality cold cuts and cheese, and excellent eggs. We could ask for anything and our requests were taken care of right away. Chatting with the hostess added to the warm, family feel. With only four rooms, the guesthouse was peaceful and intimate, and the breakfast room felt just the right size. Every room was occupied, which seemed a good sign. We booked through Booking.com and thought it was excellent value. Pension Wastl-Häusl is around 900 meters from the center of Reit im Winkl. Mrs. Wiesmüller greeted us warmly, explained local activities, provided parking tickets, and gave us Winklmoosalm cable car tickets, normally €10 per day. The rooms are spacious, with balconies and lovely views. You can choose a room with either a shower or a separate toilet; the other is just a few steps away in the hall, which worked well for us. We chose the shower room. Everything was clean and functional, and although the style is a little older, it was absolutely top-notch. The separate toilet was especially convenient, and the beds were comfortable, so we slept wonderfully. We were completely satisfied and would gladly return. Thanks for everything!

There’s no Wi-Fi, though the signal is good. The guesthouse has a typically Bavarian look, and we were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was lovingly prepared and heartfelt, with plenty for us. We’d recommend the place and would come again.
