We came for the ceremonial keg tapping at Zöttler's, but there were problems all over the apartment. The heating barely came on, and only from 8 to 9 in the morning, so an evening shower meant a freezing bathroom. The shower itself only worked partly, with a very odd setup. Water also drains poorly from the sink because the plug sits too low, and pulling it out reveals things you'd rather not see. The apartment was otherwise clean and pleasant, but only had the bare basics. If you're expecting a kitchen fully equipped for six people, you'll be disappointed.

The kitchen was fine, but we were woken at 11:00 PM on our last evening to pay the tourist tax, which was completely unacceptable. It was extremely cold all day and the heating didn't work. The bathroom was small and dated but OK. Some of the furniture came apart when touched.

Our room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was fresh. But there were dead mosquitoes all over the walls when we arrived, which made it seem like the infestation had been going on for a while. We had already paid in full, yet were charged an extra fee that hadn't been mentioned when booking. When we asked why it wasn't included, the host was very unfriendly.

For a night or two, the room was OK, and everything was clean. The furnishings were decent, though the bathroom looked like it needed work, with tiles painted over rather amateurishly. The balcony railing and garden seemed quite neglected. Breakfast was limited, and don't expect much friendliness in the morning.

We ended up in one of the rooms that hadn't been renovated, and it was awful. It was clean, at least, but the apartment reeked of old cigarette smoke, the floor was uneven, and the furniture was badly outdated. Hopefully all the rooms have been renovated by now, as the pictures suggest.
