The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent too. The hotel feels a little dated, but it’s comfortable and good value. There’s paid parking right by the entrance or free parking about 50 meters away if you arrive by car. A beer garden is next door, and a short walk of around ten minutes takes you to several bars and restaurants.

We stayed in the Riesensuite, and it was even nicer in person than in the photos. It was in very good shape and really clean. The restaurant next door is excellent, though I did wonder what food options there would be on a Sunday when it’s closed.

For our one-night stay in Riesa, we booked the muhammad Ali suite for two adults and two kids, and were very pleased with it. There were two rooms, a spacious bathroom and high-quality design. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and the service felt warm and welcoming. I’d be glad to come back.

The breakfast spread was good, with a fantastic tea selection, and the staff were accommodating. The hotel was very clean and the staff were nice, but it felt a little tired and could use a refurbishment. We asked for a double bed, had our room changed, and still ended up with two single beds pushed together. Road noise was also pretty bad even with the windows shut. It wasn’t a bad stay overall, but I slept more comfortably at an Ibis Budget in Tours, France a few weeks earlier.

Hammer Brau next to the hotel had lovely food, and they had English menus. There isn’t much else in this area. The railway station is about a five-minute walk away. Our room was spacious and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body cream.
