We booked a large room with a balcony. The neighborhood was lovely, with great restaurants, bakeries, and more, and the on-site restaurant was great too. Our room was spacious and got lovely light. We enjoyed the balcony and skylight. The shower sprayed water everywhere in our room and our friend's room, leaving it pooled on the floor. There was no iron or steamer. My friend was in a single room where the air conditioner didn't work properly, and there was a constant unpleasant smell from the air ducts or something. Our room wasn't ready by the 3 p.m. check-in time. The front desk said we could go up at 3:30, but the cleaning crew was still there and quite unpleasant. Nobody told us about the hotel perks, like the bikes available to use, so we only noticed them on our last day. It had apparently been recently renovated, but didn't feel that way. Even our huge room with plenty of wall space had no full-length mirror, just a tiny one in the bathroom. There were some bright spots that made Berlin nice, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The room and common areas were comfortable and clean, and the team was super friendly. One small complaint about Sophie’s restaurant: several dishes were missing, and the tomatoes weren't ripe at all, though the staff were very attentive. Big thanks to the whole sports team for their kind service by the pool.

The laid-back feel, lobby art, and room style all made an impression on me. I liked details like the latex lampshades. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, with lots of tips on places to eat and things to do. It was a comfortable stay, and I'll be back.

I stayed at The Dean Berlin in February, when it had just opened, and had a fantastic time. The air conditioning was a lifesaver for getting a good night's sleep. I liked the ground-floor restaurant too, with its great atmosphere and really good food. The hotel is stylish without going overboard. A brilliant stay, and I'll be back soon!

After four visits to Berlin and stays in four different hotels, The Dean Berlin Hotel is easily my favorite. The food at Benedict was incredible, the rooms were comfortable and high quality, and the service stood out. The staff were especially attentive, handling every detail thoughtfully and making me feel welcome throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
