I used the shared seating area every day to get organized before heading out or unwind after a full day exploring Berlin. There’s coffee and tea there, and Andre even gave me free passes to the gym around the corner. I went once and loved the pool. He was also really friendly and gave me helpful tips on using the subway and where to shop. The location is convenient for Kreuzberg, the subway, and nightlife. My room was fun, clean, well organized, and had a comfortable bed. I stayed three nights and would happily return to box 61. Thanks for everything.

We rented the entire apartment for a big group and were very comfortable. The themed decor gave the place a fun feel, and some rooms have small balconies overlooking the street below. They also supplied shampoo, coffee, and tea, which I hadn’t expected. Friedrichshain has plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs, and the east gallery is nearby. A great weekend away, thanks!

It’s a nice apartment, but the rooms are small, the mattress was really uncomfortable, and it got noisy at night. It could work well for a group of friends, but I wouldn’t pick it for a relaxing weekend with my girlfriend.

The place itself is lovely: cozy, very clean, private, and in a nice part of Berlin. We were enjoying our stay and would have liked to recommend it, but the way Andre handled a mix-up was upsetting and chaotic. We had a self check-in, and I was given the envelope for the cube room when we arrived for our three-night stay. On the second night we were out late, so we were still asleep at 10:30 the next morning when a cleaning staff member knocked and said we were supposed to check out. She was very sweet, but her boss was telling her by phone that we had to leave. When she handed me the phone, he insisted we were in the wrong room and that the room assigned to us had been empty for a few nights. I showed him the envelope we’d received on arrival, but he kept insisting we were mistaken and yelled at me and at his staff member. After waking us and making that mistake, he sent only a brief, poorly written apology email. I expected something more polite for an error that was entirely his. I’m outraged by how this happened. Andre seems disorganized running the business, and his way of dealing with customers is rude, insulting, and unprofessional. I hope he and the other owner learn to manage such a beautiful space better. It’s a real shame otherwise.
