The in-house brewery is a real treat, especially the Luther beer, which I haven’t found anywhere else. I also liked how the carefully chosen antiques make the place feel cozy and traditional without seeming tacky or fake. The staff are very friendly, and anyone who doesn’t speak English tries to find someone who does. For a Bavarian country setting, the restaurant has surprisingly good vegan choices. A great place to stay, thoroughly recommended.

I was only stopping by while passing through, and the restaurant was easy to reach from the train platform. The schnitzel was my favorite, and both the food and the restaurant were fantastic. Our waitress spoke excellent English. It felt relaxed and really comfortable, and I’d definitely stay in one of the rooms another time.

A good spot for an authentic small-town German brewery experience. The food was tasty and had a very modern kitchen style, and the fresh beer is brewed on site. The rooms have also been updated and are spacious. A great combination.

The place dates back to 1425, which by itself makes it worth a visit. It stays open through the day and late into the evening, and I’ve heard the Bratwürste are nearly perfect. The regional German restaurant is worth trying: I’d go for the Sauerbraten or something with the local Klöse, those wonderfully soft potato dumplings that soak up the sauce. The facilities are very clean, and the service is excellent. It feels like a German home instead of an impersonal hotel.
