The service was okay, but the room was quite bad, and the coffee was a real disappointment. We had a family reunion for 33 people last weekend. They charged €7.50 per person for coffee, even though not everyone drank it. There were six children who didn’t drink coffee, so they had cocoa instead, but were only given two small cups between them. We were still charged €7.50 per head. We also ordered lunch per person, and they said we had to pay for two people who didn’t show up. The Gänsebrust was expensive too, at €22 per order. We won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends. Charging everyone €7.50 for coffee even if they only have one small cup is unfair. The Kaiser is a better choice.

I had a small single room, but it was modern and functional throughout, and the service was friendly. There’s no restaurant, though a very nearby Greek restaurant was excellent. This is a perfect overnight stop for cyclists, right on the EV13. I’d come again.

The atmosphere felt very authentically German, and I was probably the only Asian or foreigner there that day. I visited on December 25, when it was reservation only. The food was good and the price was okay, though the portions were smaller than I expected.

We were passing through and needed a meal, and this turned out to be exactly the right choice. The food was delicious, the service was great, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well.

The interior has a rustic feel, and there’s a nice selection of wine and dishes. I just wish my salad had come with more shrimp.
