You’ll need a car to get here. There’s no public transport on Sundays or holidays in Risenheim, and it’s a 30-minute walk from the train station. Once you’re here, though, it’s so peaceful, with birds singing by the bed and lovely distant mountain peaks visible along the street. The staff were wonderfully helpful, my room was clean and had a terrace, and it’s a cozy place to get away from civilization.

I saw the bathroom cleaned with the same item used elsewhere, and salad washed in the sink used for dirty dishes. There was also little respect for the people working there. Many left after only a day or two because of the staff. Someone who worked there saw this, and so did more than one person.

It’s a clean, quiet place with a good breakfast, though breakfast could be better. I’d also suggest improving how clients are spoken to, especially over the phone.

A quiet neighborhood, friendly staff, and good food from the kitchen. The hotel has a nice Bavarian style and works well for either a night’s stay or a holiday.
