The location at the far end of the strand is this hotel’s biggest plus. It’s quieter than the busy centre end of the beach walk, and less crowded beaches and walks are only minutes away. There are around eight or nine rooms facing the beach, though only the upper floors can actually see over the dunes. We’ve stayed a couple of times, so the unfriendly reception isn’t a one-off. The other staff were lovely, polite, professional and efficient, but reception seemed to miss that guests are paying for a pleasant experience. The hotel could be much better with attention to small details and a more welcoming front desk. For the price, some staff seem to think the location alone is enough. The cheap bathroom fittings and patchy WiFi don’t help. If you can put up with a grumpy check-in and checkout and plastic baths, there’s a lot to like about the location.

The breakfast was just OK, with very little on the menu, and the facilities and food didn’t justify the high price. Our double room was one floor below, with no sea view. WiFi reception in the bedroom was so poor that we had to stand by the door to connect.

A beautiful beach with lovely white sand is right outside, and there’s a small town nearby with restaurants and shops. The surroundings are great, and it’s a wonderful holiday option. The hotel is welcoming to pets and children, with friendly service and good food. Breakfast was wonderful too.

A cosy little hotel with direct views of the Baltic Sea. The rooms and breakfast feel a bit old-fashioned, but they’re nice.
