M&R Hostel

The welcome was awful. The room didn't match its description, though it might improve later since it seemed to be under renovation. The whole motel smelled of cold cigarettes.

Worst hostel experience I've ever had. Nobody was there to check me in at 4:00pm, and it took 20 minutes to reach anyone. No one answered the number they'd given me or the hostel's general number. When the man finally arrived, he was hostile and said right away that I'd booked the wrong thing. He refused to give me the room I'd paid for, even though I had the confirmation email and receipt. My only options, according to him, were a bed in a male dorm or leaving without a refund. I got my money back only after asking over and over, but by then I was stranded and all the other accommodation was booked out. The place was run-down and deserted, and I can see why. Definitely stay away. 0/5

The room was clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't see the lack of friendliness toward foreigners that other reviews talk about. What goes around comes around. Thanks for a great stay. We'd be happy to come back.

The women's restroom had a slightly unpleasant smell, the only small downside for us. Otherwise, our four-bed room was clean and spacious, and the man at reception was super friendly. The hostel is practically beside the S-Bahn station, about a five-minute walk away, so getting to the main train station and IGA Park is quick.
