The room was clean and tidy, and we really enjoyed staying in it. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the price was very reasonable for a location this close to the old town. For Americans, the beds and showers are designed differently, so keep that in mind before judging. The beds turned out to be more comfortable than you might expect, and the water pressure was heavenly.

The room was roomy and the property itself was clean, which made the poor service especially disappointing. I accidentally booked two hotels for the same night and contacted this hotel straight away to ask about moving my reservation to another day. They wouldn’t refund or change it at all, despite my prompt message. I understand that hotels have policies, but their unwillingness to work with me left a sour impression and made the situation much more stressful than it needed to be. I won’t book here again.

The location and price were good, but the room didn’t match the pictures. The beds were very small and hard, the bathroom wouldn’t drain during showers, and the walls were super thin.

The hotel is directly across the street from the main train station, which was essential for us since we needed to walk no more than 50m with our bags. It’s about a 10-minute walk to one of the main city entrances and towers. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was okay. We were on the fourth floor, and there’s no elevator, so be ready to carry your luggage up narrow stairs. Reception isn’t open around the clock, but the staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good value for money.

We were happy with our stay. The rooms were clean, parking was free, and the place was easy to reach, about a 5-10 minute walk from downtown. Good value in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
