We ate at the restaurant because the one at our hotel was closed. The Bavarian food was really good, as you can see in my pictures, and the staff were friendly.

The staff seemed swamped, and several tables appeared unhappy. We waited an hour for a disappointing Wiener Schnitzel with potato wedges. The schnitzel wasn’t fresh and its breading didn’t seem handmade, while the potatoes were greasy and far too dark. If we hadn’t been so hungry, I’d have sent it back. We only came in for a meal, and it felt like staff shortages were clearly a problem. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.

The beer garden is a lovely, peaceful spot away from the busy streets, and the staff were attentive and very friendly. We came to eat, so I can only speak to the restaurant: the food was very good, portions generous, and prices fair. We’ll definitely return.

We only stopped for food and drinks on the terrace, so I can’t comment on the hotel itself. Everything we had was delicious, and the terrace was quiet, tidy, and set away from the tourist crowds. Reception and service were polite and attentive too. Thanks for a lovely brief visit.
