Die Suttenhütte

Elisabeth and Jens had the Suttenhütte ready for us after our wedding, and we felt comfortable right away. It’s well equipped for a great mountain holiday. We were glad we got to spend the night there, and it’s definitely worth a visit.

The fox wandering through the tall grass was a lovely surprise. We spent a long weekend at the Suttenhütte with my in-laws, and the hosts were wonderful, even suggesting some great routes nearby. The area works for hiking, cycling, and trail running at all fitness levels. Inside, the cabin has everything you need, and the room and bathroom setup suited our four couples perfectly. The view and quiet were fantastic. I especially enjoyed doing yoga or meditating outside the upstairs room in the mornings. We had bad weather and it was a shame the sauna was no longer available, but Monte Mare by the lake was a nice place to relax. Such a great weekend, thank you! ☺️

We had a fantastic cousin reunion over a long weekend. The cabin was beautifully and quietly situated, with a wonderful view. Inside, everything was tasteful and high quality, right down to the little details. We didn't get the sunny weather we'd hoped for, so a sunshade on the terrace might be a nice addition for brighter days. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Hammersen for making the atmosphere so pleasant.

We loved the peace and the view, and Elisabeth and Jens were outstanding hosts. We've already booked again for this year. The whole family stayed in this beautiful house, and it felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. Its architecture and layout are wonderfully thought out across two levels, with room for privacy as well as meals together. You can walk to hiking, cross-country skiing, or downhill skiing, and the supermarket and Lake Tegernsee are only a short walk away. One of the loveliest places and houses I've ever visited.
