Rottach-Egern is a charming town in a beautiful spot on the lake, and the hotel has a wonderful location and nice ambiance. Our room was spacious, bright and clean, with a nice bathroom. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the charming breakfast room and delicious breakfast, and had an excellent, nicely presented meal in the dining room.

The Bavarian food was some of the best I’ve had in a long time, and breakfast was awesome. The hotel and its setting are beautiful. The rooms do look a little old, though having a WLAN router in your own room makes up for that.

The view was stunning and the prices were fair. But service was very poor. We stayed for about 40 minutes and the waiter never showed up.

It’s a nice place, but the waiters have a really bad attitude. Getting help or even an answer to a question is difficult. When I asked what the waiter recommended for the main course, he rudely told me it was on the menu.

We thought the price was great for such a wonderful room and garden. The hotel was wonderful, and in my opinion it’s better than the one called Uberfahrt.
