The food wasn't at the hotel, and it was really bad. We had to go to another restaurant afterwards.

There's no supermarket, bakery, or cafe in town, so getting breakfast there isn't really possible. The restaurant food was good, but breakfast wasn't offered, and nobody was there in the morning, so they charged us upfront. The price was reasonable, though not cheap. The old half-timbered house is charming, with rustic rooms, but unfortunately the TV didn't work because a cable was broken.

The place is spotless, the beds are really good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I did find the rooms noisy, with low ceilings, and the bathroom is pretty bare bones. A shelf for toiletries would help. The half-timbered house itself is beautiful and well cared for, though that historic style seems to come at the expense of room comfort. They only take cash, unfortunately.
