The rooms, breakfast, and staff were all excellent, and this is an excellent small, independent hotel by European standards. I did find the front desk hours a little odd, staffed only from 8:00a-noon and 3:00p-6:00p. As an American, I also prefer one large bed to 2 twins, which is more typical in independent European hotels. Those are cultural preferences, though, not complaints about the property.

We travel a lot around the world, and this is a well-run, quality place. The price was very good, and both the staff and facilities were outstanding. Hats off to the owner/manager and his team.

The breakfast was so good, I have to ask where you get your bread! Thank you, Peter, for the warm welcome. We stayed during the heatwave, and without air conditioning our room was pretty uncomfortable. It was clean, though, and we had parking in the garage.

The room was good and everything was clean 👌 I could make coffee in the room, which was nice for having a cup in the evening while watching TV 📺 😊

I’ve only stayed here for work, but Rottweil is beautiful, and Hotel Bären is a solid choice for a business trip. Peter is a lovely, friendly owner, very personable, and speaks near-sighted English. Breakfast is absolutely top-notch.
