The biggest problem for us was the beds: they're two separate mattresses with nothing holding them together, and the space between them kept getting wider overnight. That was rough with our son sleeping between us. We stayed in both 2024 and 2025, and some things varied: the first room had an old toilet with yellow mineral stains, and its glass balcony door had no shutters or blackout curtain. Breakfast was decent on the first visit but pretty poor on the second. Some food seemed old, the eggs were left over from the day before, the fruit salad was partly frozen, and plenty of the tea mugs and jam cups were dirty. The room also wasn't cleaned at all during our second stay, so we were left with a bin full of dirty diapers. On the first visit, by comparison, they left a fresh bottle of sparkling water in the room each night. There were plenty of things we liked. Both rooms were spacious, with a big closet and seating for three or four inside and two outside. The balconies were large, carpeted, and enclosed on all sides, so we had privacy and could sit out even in the rain. The views were quiet, though the first faced trees and the second the highway. The balcony doors also had ashtrays, and the carpet meant we could step outside in socks, even in winter. Rooms had mini-fridges and a surprisingly powerful hair dryer that dried my long hair quickly. Staff were helpful and friendly, and there was an elevator. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and runs until 10, which worked well with early-rising kids. Latte macchiato, cappuccino, and similar drinks were included, and the Wi-Fi worked without a password or registration. The bar was open all day until 22:00, served coffee drinks too, and would give us a tray to take drinks upstairs. Prices were about what you'd pay at a bakery. There was also a lobby fridge with drinks, including beer and still water, paid for at reception. The hotel can arrange delivery from an Italian restaurant to your room, which was really handy with kids. They have pizza, pasta, salads, and meat; the food was okay rather than amazing, and you may want to bring salt and dinnerware or ask the bar. The bar also serves one hot meal at night, though we didn't try it. Parking was free, and checkout was easy: just leave the key card at reception. Children up to age six stay free when sharing their parents' bed. On our second stay there was a complimentary sewing kit in the room. The playground was less convincing, with just a very shaky slide and the remains of an old swing frame.
