Ferienhaus Stift Ennenbach

The fenced garden was a wonderful, safe place for our dogs to explore and run around off leash. We also got a lovely little birthday surprise, which I hadn’t expected. Thank you for such a great few days, we’d be happy to come back. The house was spotless and beautifully furnished, and the garden was landscaped like a park and clearly well looked after. The kitchen had everything I could wish for, while the bathroom had both a whirlpool and a shower. There was also a barrel sauna, hot tub, and small pond. Everything felt in great shape, from the atmosphere to the water pressure and Wi-Fi. I really did enjoy our stay.

The comfortable rooms work especially well for families, and the ground-floor bathroom is bright and spacious, with a whirlpool bath and a separate shower. The bar and kitchen have everything you need, and extras like the barrel sauna and hot tub sound like a lot of fun. We felt at home right away in this cozy hunting lodge. The classic bar by the entrance is a nice place to relax, and hunting trophies cover the walls and staircase. We’ll definitely return!

The beds were comfortable, and the hunting lodge looks fantastic. We spent a week at Stift Ennebach and felt at home. The kitchen is very well equipped, with everything from a barbecue area and sauna to a hot tub. The outdoor hot tub was a highlight, and you can heat it with a fire if you want. A few things to keep in mind: there are two bathrooms but only one shower, and the water pressure is weak, so showering takes a while if everyone needs one. Wasps swarmed around the outdoor dining area, especially when we ate or grilled in late summer. There was an occupied nest visible in the roof gable on the Badtunna side. Internet was another problem. Cell reception was close to nonexistent across the property on every network we tried, including phone and 3G/LTE. The Wi-Fi couldn’t handle more than one guest, so we were practically offline for the whole stay. There might be a bar of LTE upstairs now and then, but it doesn’t make up for the Wi-Fi. Even streaming music on Spotify wasn’t possible, so we had to download it in advance. I can recommend a summer visit, especially once the internet connection improves.

The whirlpool bath worked perfectly and was really relaxing. There’s also plenty to do around the house, including the sauna, whirlpool, and badminton set, and there’s ample space indoors and out for a group. The kitchen is well equipped, though I couldn’t find a casserole dish. The shower was frustrating. The water pressure was poor, and the heavily scaled shower head sprayed in every direction. The overhead one sent water everywhere except where it should go. The Wi-Fi worked off and on the first day, then stopped altogether, and mobile reception was limited to nonexistent in this rural spot. There’s plenty of room in the beds, but the mattresses left all three of us with bad back pain after the first night, like we’d been trampled by elephants. The downstairs toilet beside the shower also wobbled so much that we tried not to move on it. There are a few smaller flaws the house could use some work on.
