The people were friendly.

We were left without a place to stay after the hotel canceled our reservation at 2:00 PM on arrival day. We had a valid booking confirmation on our end, but the hotel had issued it with 2024 instead of 2025. After we called, they assured us they'd correct the year and change the booking to 2025. We called several times during the week before our planned arrival, but the cancellation still came at short notice. They just gave us excuses and said we'd "wasted their time." Very disappointing. Guests shouldn't be treated this way.

We stayed in Apartment 1, and it was a total flop. The apartment was unbearably hot, and there was no restful sleep with the noisy neighbors going until 1:30 a.m. The owners were told about the problems and said they'd deal with them and provide a fan, but when we got back from Europa-Park, the empty beer bottle was still on the windowsill, the TV still wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi, and there was no fan. They said fans were sold out. With the windows and shutters closed early, it was still too hot. Of course, the landlord can't control the temperature, but they do have some responsibility for tenants' health and well-being. I'm glad to be home. The place is on a main road, and even opening the front door means drivers and pedestrians can see straight onto the couch. There was an empty beer bottle on the street-facing windowsill when we arrived. We didn't feel safe opening the window fully at night or raising the blinds to air out the room, since someone could easily climb in from the sidewalk. The bedroom window faces the courtyard, where it seems to lead upstairs to the other apartment, and it also looked easy to climb in there. The windows had been left tilted open with the shutters raised when we arrived, despite it being over 30 degrees Celsius, so it was already very hot inside. The kitchen was good and had everything needed for cooking in a guesthouse. The living and dining area had a table with four chairs, a sofa bed, and a working TV, but it only received Samsung TV, not channels like RTL, Sat. 1, or Pro 7. Since it wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi, we had to use our phone's private hotspot. In the bedroom, the bed was comfortable, but there were no bedside tables, and a broken bedside lamp dangled back and forth. There's no bedroom TV. The bathroom was basic, with a rather small shower, toilet, and sink. After one day, we moved to another guesthouse run by the same owners and raised the issues there. We were told they'd be addressed, but little to nothing happened. We were also unlucky to have very noisy roommates in the apartment above, which made sleeping in the heat even harder. We booked in August 2024 for September 2025, but the confirmation had the wrong year, 2024. After a phone call, we were assured the booking period would be fixed. We also contacted them a week before arrival, yet on the day itself they told us we couldn't access the apartment. We were dismissed with, "You stole my time." I can't keep being responsible for other people's incompetence and fixing their mistakes. Proper organization with a channel manager would have prevented this. Absolutely not recommended, as you could end up stranded on the street with nowhere to stay.
