We drove over from the air base for a long, leisurely lunch and treated ourselves to the tasting menu. It was a wonderful experience, with lots of dishes and a wine pairing. If you’re looking to splash out on something unique, this is the place, just don’t look too closely at the bill!

The scallop course was the standout, easily worth its €19 supplement. We had the MENU SIGNATURE “CLASSIC” at €195 per person, and every dish was excellent. This French fine-dining restaurant has Japanese influence, with cuisine that felt clean, refined, and well balanced. The chef brought out great flavors even from ingredients I usually don’t enjoy, making every dish approachable and delicious. A flawless dining experience.

At Esplanade in Saarbrücken, every dish felt creative and carefully balanced, with real attention to detail. The atmosphere was beautiful, the cuisine refined, and the service impeccable. Absolutely fantastic dining, and highly recommended!

The meal was great, with small portions as you’d expect, and there were lots of surprising things. The price didn’t feel that high considering everything included. It was my first visit to a two-star Michelin restaurant, so the experience felt special. The menu is very small, and the meal was quite slow, lasting two hours. Maybe that’s because I’m more used to classical restaurants.

We came spontaneously, and the restaurant management made room for us. It turned into an experience worth remembering. The amuse-bouches were stunning, four in total, plus one for me. The dishes were beautifully presented and amazing in taste, followed by an extraordinary dessert and lots of pâtisserie alongside the espresso. The staff were very attentive, and the maître d’ was outstanding. Too many superlatives? I agree, but I liked it. Very much. Visited in June 2022, when the restaurant had two Michelin stars.
