Free public parking right outside and a really quiet spot made it easy to get a good night's sleep. Inside, my room was spacious and clean, with blackout curtains, a large mirror, a roomy wardrobe with hangers, and bins in both the bathroom and bedroom. There was also bottled water, guest Wi-Fi and shower gel. I got a very friendly welcome, even though I arrived late. I can recommend the Euro-Hotel near the French border.

The best part for me was the warm, family-run hospitality. Breakfast was a real bonus too. It's a small hotel, but the rooms are well equipped and absolutely spotless.

I go to PAVAROTTIS in Klarenthal with friends as often as four times a week. This year it's the restaurant under Giovanni Nicastro, and his cooking is divine.
