The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and there was a warm bottle of water waiting in the room. Then we saw the extra 3 euro charge for it. We paid 95 euro for one night and another 10 euro to park. After traveling around the area for about a week, Saar Galerie was unfortunately the most expensive and least welcoming hotel we stayed at. The rooms are outdated, and the place lacks atmosphere.

Breakfast was excellent, with specialty coffees, fresh pastries and rolls, scrambled and fried eggs, and fresh fruit. The staff were incredibly friendly too. Our spacious, functional room had large, comfortable beds. The hotel is on the second floor above a grocery store, with a large parking lot right outside and a swimming pool. Fantastic value for money, and we’d highly recommend it.

It’s incredibly frustrating when you have appointments in the building and find the ground floor and basement (Wasgau) entrance doors shut. This happens very often, so you have to walk all the way around the building and sometimes go through Wasgau again to get inside. I have no idea whether the hotel is responsible for it. Wasgau isn’t the only shop or service provider open in the evening, for example at 6:00 PM. So frustrating!
